There’s a beauty to be found in the old and the worn because it makes you aware of the passing of the time.

Coping with changes and setbacks as everything constantly changes

A restored work of art stands for vulnerability, strength, and beauty.

Accept one’s imperfections and become a happier person who is able to heal the other things that can break in life; a relationship, your heart, your confidence in the future.

While one can hurt in life, with the right knowledge, we can recover. The lessons we learn from adversity are the gold that binds the broken shards together.

I WILL HAVE WHAT SHE IS HAVING

How many times have we wanted something that someone else has
Can we blame the internet? Yes and No.
Seeing what else is out there, what other people are doing, and what other possibilities can be unsettling, but “the grass is always greener” is an expression that’s been around for far longer than the internet, and one that harbors up ideas of never being quite satisfied with what one has.

It evokes mental images of peering enviously over your neighbors’ fence, or of someone risking life and limbs trying to get over a bridge.

Its called to mind Adam and Eve thinking that perhaps an apple held better things than the paradise in which they already existed and of Cain’s seething jealousy of his brother, Abel. Self-doubt, envy, and aspiration are all, to one degree or another, essential elements of human nature

The issue arises when fixating on someone else’s grass leads you to dislike or neglect your own-

When you are so caught up in how much better that person’s life is that jealously and misery paralyze you from improving your own

Day 1 of my Mindfulness Challenge

My mindfulness challenge, as it purpose is to boost my creativity, strengthen my immune system and lower my blood pressure day by day.

What is mindfulness… I suppose it is living in the minute.. A now moment instead of focusing in the past. Our past tenses are not always appetizing as all that thinking causes us to miss out a lot of our lives. It’s like watching ones life slide past without taking part, and that is not a nice feeling.

So, how do we use mindfulness to assist us in our daily lives? It teaches us to be present in our lives no matter what is going on…

Contrary to what some may think though, mindfulness has nothing to do with religion or invisible powers as it’s all about being in touch with yourself… Needless to say, every time you come back to the present, you are practicing mindfulness…You are seeing things the way they really are and that’s what gives life color.

Heaven On Earth

Happiness to me is being able to eat Gourmet foods…According to philosophy, happiness being so high on today’s agenda has to do with secularization. In early christianity, they formed the idea that suffering is part of life on Earth and perfect happiness cannot be achieved. The idea was, only good christians would be rewarded with eternal happiness.

Now that the notion of heaven has been dismissed by many, we want heaven here on earth. Happiness and the pursuit of it has become a goal in itself. What’s important is that we believe that we are entitled to it.

Happiness has become something to own, something that you can buy. Whoever fails to be continually happy is seen as a loser.
