Why are my Ears such a Funny Shapes

The shape of the ears helps them to catch sounds from the air. The sounds then go through your outer ear into he hidden part of your ear, inside your head.

Animals like rabbits can move their ears to help them catch sounds.

But why do I feel dizzy when I spin around though? Inside each ear, you have three loop-shaped tubes with watery liquid. This swishes around when you spin.

The nerves carry messages from the ear to the brain as to let the tubes in the ear know that it must let you balance.

We have special nerves that picks up movements and tells the brain you are spinning. So, when the brain gets the wrong message you feel dizzy.
